This series is okay, but book 3 has 4 different storylines going on at the same time, with characters of basically the same name is each story. It gets a little hard to follow which storyline is which, and none of the characters in any of them are ever in any real danger or threat. So, the story just kind of meanders. This is a series that desperately needs an editor, because while the story has a good idea, the execution falls off after book 1, and it becomes very apparent by book 3.

The narration is great, and I am usually a fan of this author, but there’s a reason why he released this book under a pen name.
