What would have made Close Obsession better?
A better narrator
What could Anna Zaires and Dima Zales have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Gotten a different, more adult sounding, less robotic narrator.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Kitty Hendrix?
There are many narrators, both male and female, that could have pulled this off much better; no not better, pulled it off period. Kitty Hendrix’s voice was not only too childish but her inflections and expressions, in my opinion, were used at inappropriate times.
Any additional comments?
I have tried no less than five times to listen to this book, especially because many listeners sing praises of it eroticism, romance, suspense, etc. Just couldn’t do it; KH’s voice and exclamations were so childish and inappropriate and her narration so robotic that it was entirely impossible for me to get through.

I have reviewed many, many books because I have listened to literally hundreds over the years and my main complaint, always, is lack of good narrator. I can, like many other reviewers I read of, tolerate a mediocre book, even a drab one if the narrator is good.

Sorry AZ and DZ, your book may tick all my boxes but the audio publisher did you a great disservice.
