Carl is coming into his own as a leader and while everyone else around him is breaking at the seams and losing their humanity he’s holding it all together. Katia descent into drugs and Imane losing it after her friends were killed around her could have easily been the end of their journey but Carl never gave up on them his perseverance and love has kept his group mostly intact.
