Matt Dinniman is on the path of becoming one of the all time greats. He creates amazing and well developed supporting characters that you come to care about just as much as Donut and Carl. The interaction of this huge group is handled with incredible skill that any writer of lesser talent would end up creating a mess and would cause the reader (listener) to be lost on who are the good guys and who are the bad.
Jeff Hays is a golden throated GOD who can brilliantly bring the individuality of each major character with such ease I wonder if he might have multiple identity issues IRL. Mr. Hays can effortlessly slip between the different personalities as easily as someone flipping a light switch. He can bring out the tension, emotional impact, terror, and humor of every situation our beloved characters face at every turn.
If you love a good story, buy this series. If you love laughing through a story, buy this series. If you need an escape from the real world BUY THIS SERIES.
After 7 books this series is still GAINING steam. Truly one of the few storylines that has a depth of creativity that it blows me away when you look back and realize each book is a self contained roller-coaster you never want to end!
