I usually don’t purchase books by new-to-me authors until there are a substantial number of reviews. However, I absolutely love Soundbooth Theater so anything they narrate gets an exception. I have never given them any less than five stars and if 4.5 stars was an option, I would have chosen that. I found the narration to be mostly outstanding but with a few exceptions. A few of the characters have heavy special effects added to their voices. I absolutely could not make out what some of the dialog was. Struggling to make sense of the words and constantly repeating those segments and still not being able to make out what was being said was disappointing and certainly interrupting of my immersion.
Otherwise, I found the story and narration quite charming.
