Cheap writing using trauma in a tasteless manner plus cringy writing.

WHY THIS AUTHOR SUCKS – Stop his partner and him from being tortured with the use of an artifact? NOPE! why?? “EFFICIENCY” i spit on that shit. also it’s all just to make him make the virtual world become his “real world”

This honestly was a so so book that was pretty good to listen to just as background noise for the base building aspect but near the end the author decided he needed the MC to get over one last hump of making this world feel real so he used a cheap trauma event that made no sense at all like he is supposed to be really lucky and his whole clan but someone made the dumbest most obvious plot devices to move the story forward that was just lazy writing. I honestly can stand a little lazy writing but it’s super prevalent in this series also the amount of cliche one liners that make me cringe is unreal. This was a mediocre book at first but I don’t care for writers that use trauma as a cheap writing device it makes me lose all respect for them.
