The story is exactly what the summary is – cheesy romcom but acted with a full cast of characters. Sometimes it was too cheesy but for a novella its easier to give grace. I was looking for a duet romcom for a drive and this was the exact length of my drive so it was perfect. The premise is they are talking on the phone and getting to know each other so its ALOT of talking and not much additional plot. Its very tell instead of show but again its a novella. Every issue I have with this book I then tell myself “But also it didn’t claim to be otherwise”. So it was exactly what I needed. I’d recommend it to those looking for exactly what I was looking for but not really other circumstances. And generally I’d say I might forget it soon but this plot is actually pretty unique and I may not just based on pure quirkyness.
