I love how Dinniman created a fantasy world where contemporary references can be applied without making them seem awkward. Carl and Donut are fun characters whose relationship works well within the theme.

Jeff Hays narrates in a way that makes it seem as though he legitimately enjoys the book and wants to represent the characters with their intended personalities.

Overall, this was a fun read. I look forward to the rest of the series.
