I’m not really sure what to say about this one. I think the age-gap situation along with the power dynamic was a struggle for me. Perhaps this one was better suited for someone younger than me. But having children the ages of the main characters and a teenage daughter who runs track, who also shares a name with a character, just felt too close to home for this content. I don’t think it was a terrible story and, in all honesty, there were no laws broken, sexual assaults committed, or anything of that nature. I did, however, struggle with the track coach’s authority over this young girl and the impact that could’ve had overall. In this story, it worked out for them both in the end but, this was too much to overcome for me. Otherwise, the ending was satisfactory, in that, everyone got what they wanted and appeared to be happy.
