I will finish this book simply because it is already paid for. By chapter 12 the author has contradicted himself numerous times. What was the last straw for me was in chapter 12 the MC just described how little he knows about the world and its tech, when a starship pops up. It then goes to describe quickly the many types of ships there are. But he knows the type and quality of this exact ship and its exact job on the planet after just say he knows nothing about them. It also early on says this is a digital world, now its saying it isnt and its not like a reveal like “oh this was actually all really happening” no. It just, forgot it was in a digital world. The MC also gets like no backstory other than there was some sort of un described tragedy of absurd proportions, we wont give any details though. We also wont tell you about the MCs story other than he got uploaded to s digital world and then died right after. Oh wait, its not digital anymore. Hmmmm. Hopefully the writing improves, if it does I’m changing my review. Adding to it: 5 minutes into the book “i have 9 hours of energy left. I can explore here for a few hours then i can make it back to town if i find something worth selling” -later on- *travels for 2 days* oh it must be much further than i thought. He literally came from said town, he would remember the distance if his actual life relied on it like is stated. Haven’t had a single chapter that is consistent with its lore that it established 2 chapters earlier.
