King of Corium is the first book in the Corium University Trilogy. This book is told from dual points of view by Quinton and Aspen.
Both Quinten and Aspen go to Corium University. An underground school where criminals send their kids to learn to become better criminals. Aspen’s father is arrested for being a rat, and now everyone at school treats Aspen as a rat. She is bullied daily, and the staff treats Aspen like scum.
Quinton is one of the ring leaders torturing Aspen daily, but as the torture goes on he realizes he can bribe her to get what she wants and she can get things she needs like food and blankets. However, as he’s bribing her he starts to develop feelings for her.
Quinton is trying to figure out his own answers to things that have happened in the past. Aspen’s mother keeps telling her she is safer at Corium, even though she is being bullied. What happens when Quinton finds something that belongs to his sister? Can Aspen stay safe at the school or will she try to leave?
Drop Dead Queen is the second book in the Corium University series. This book starts off right where book one ends and is told from dual points of view from Aspen and Quinton.
At the beginning of this book, Aspen is fighting to survive, and Quinton will do anything to find her out in the wilderness. Once he finds her and rescues her, can they get back to the building unharmed?
Once she is safely back she realizes that Quinton can’t protect her, even though he says he will. Someone wants her dead, and she will do whatever she can to survive. But can she save herself when she needs to?
Broken Kingdom is the third book in the Corium University Trilogy. This book picks up right where Drop Dead Queen ends off, so you need to read this in order. This is the conclusion to Aspen and Quinten’s story.
This story starts off with Aspen waking up in the hospital. She has been trying to survive in the past two books, and almost didn’t make it. Now we have more secrets and lies exposed.
This book is dark! It has some triggers so I would suggest reading those ahead of time. I don’t have any triggers, so I really enjoyed this book. Aspen and Quinten’s relationship has been a struggle. He wants her but also has family obligations that have nothing to do with her.
Can they survive everything that is thrown at them? Will they get their happy ending?
