I do not mind unrealistic occurrences in books, as long as the characters react to the strange occurrences in seemingly realistic ways. That was not the case here. I could not get a handle on who the main character was supposed to be, and the side characters were ridiculous stereotypes. I don’t have to like characters, but their motivations should make sense. I stopped listening halfway through.
