The plot was there but SO over shadowed by the characters inter dialogue /self reflection. Every time a character said ONE sentence there was at least 5-10 minutes of inter dialogue before anyone else said a sentence. Every scene maybe only had three sentence ever completed making the characters not actually even really interact with each other. I kept listening waiting for that to ease and it never did. I stopped with 3 hours left in the book. If inter dialogue is your jam then it’s fine. Otherwise I wouldn’t recommend the book
