The story was pretty solid. I enjoyed it. My first issue is with the initial quality of the recording (it sounded like parts of the narration were quickly redone in a car or something). The jumps in quality and volume were jarring. It improved, though, so it wasn’t a major issue.

My main issue has to do with the voice acting of Annie Ellicott. I almost DNF’d this whole book and requested a refund after listening to her horrible attempts at British accents. There was so much more of her in this book that it was barely tolerable in any chapter where she was doing any version of her Cockney/posh/Whatever-English-county-comes-to-mind babble. Seriously – she’s from Oklahoma. I’d rather have less variety than listen to her again. I may discontinue this on Audible just to get away from her voice acting.
