While the life of Vincent is fascinating & the way the authors tell it is quite moving, the audio version is somewhat flawed in 2 ways: first — and less important — the reader’s exaggerated enunciation and syncopated manner often remind me of someone trying (badly) to imitate William Shatner. Second, it’s a time-consuming book, being more than 34 chapters, each averaging roughly an hour in length. Uninterrupted listening is unlikely. Yet every time I pause this story, when I return to listening, a text notification informs me it’s “returning to where you stopped on another device” (I have only listened on this one device), & starts back up again at CHAPTER TWO!!!
This has not happened to any other book I’ve downloaded. Rebooting the app doesn’t correct it. i
It’s frustrating, almost so much that several times I considered returning an otherwise perfectly adequate audio book.
