The concept of an entire novel being told through letter writing seemed tedious to me. I was prepared to begin this book and then stop it abruptly. But instead, I found myself drawn into the story, asking questions that would be answered by a future letter. I did correctly guess one outcome, but I am not mad about that. I am so happy to have invested my time in The Correspondent.
