I now see why everyone is talking about this book. The world building is amazing, characters are fantastic and it’s funnier than all heck. I found myself laughing out loud multiple times and that’s rare for me when it comes to audiobooks. The gaming aspects (points, strength, potions, health points) are slightly annoying at first but after a bit, you’ll get used to it. I’m definitely glad I listened to this rather than reading because the narration and sound is maybe the best I’ve heard in over 300 audiobooks. Jeff Hays is simply incredible. I can’t believe he does most, if not all of the voices here. My only complaint is that it’s probably a tad too long but I still loved it. Glad to hear Seth McFarlan and Universal have bought the rights as he seems perfect to adapt it.
