I like a lot of Mr Robinson’s stories, but this one left me mixed. A lot of jumping around to different places that had little bearing on the current (main arc) story, that at first had me confused. Maybe if there is more coming in this story it will help me get the context of all the vignettes, that were liberally scattered through the book. On the whole it was interesting that the monster wasn’t totally a monster, (you will find out in the end, why I think that.) The new world they are left with, in the end could be more interesting and dangerous than a single monster running amok. I liked the story but would liked to have seen more of Abrahams and Sgt Mayers journey detailed. This story takes place over 10years. I wouldn’t mind getting a second story in this series. There should be lots of different monsters for them to find.
