Unfortunately, I am pretty disappointed with this storyline. I usually enjoy every book I read/listen to because, but unfortunately this one is a hard pass.

Everywhere this book went, there was a “minority” point of view needing to be showcased – sort of like “what more minority trope can we add in here? Oh that’s new! Let’s throw it in!” More like a political agenda was being pushed on me so I could t really enjoy the story.

I can understand the premise of having a house full of misfits and being there for each other, but it honestly felt as though any “normal” values are wrong and obscene.

I was originally looking forward to a crazy-house fantasy-type novel, and all this book had for fantasy was real-life which acts like tarot cards and dreams. Again, it was more like shoving a minority-political-ish agenda on me.
