I gave this book two stars because it never lived up to its promise. The title suggests a powerful and compelling story, but what unfolds is clunky and uneven. The pacing drags, the dramatic tension feels manufactured, and the plot never quite finds its flow. Attempts to weave in artificial intelligence only make things worse, coming across as forced and out of place rather than enhancing the narrative. Overall, it’s just okay, ambitious in idea but disappointing in execution.
