At a glance, this book looks…….interesting.
Don’t let that fool you, this series is truly great.
It’s a slow burn, with several moments in this first book that make you realize this story might be a bit more than it originally lets on.
It IS a LitRPG, so getting through the “game mechanics” portions in this first book can feel slightly tedious, but that falls further and further by the wayside as everything progresses.
The main and supporting characters are fully fleshed out, and EVERYONE, has their own motivations.
Perfect balance of gritty to witty.
Oh, and the narration is absolutely fantastic.
Seriously, if you’ve been looking at this book for a while going “idk it just looks too silly”.
Take the dive, I PROMISE YOU, you won’t be disappointed.
