!NB! You can legally find the complete web novel of Everybody Loves Large Chests online for free. Also, if you understand Russian, there is a youtube channel that is publishing weekly recordings. SoundBooth Theater has excellent production value. Trying the story out before supporting it monetarily is perfectly reasonable!

With war between the predominantly human Empire and the predominantly elf Republic over. Kira Morgana gets an extended leave at the capital. As a sudden surprise, Teresa, the goddess of truth and justice, calls for inquisition into the Empire’s ruling elite, sharing a truth behind the calamity of Monotau and non-involvement of the Republic in it. Having time on it’s hands, Boxy decides to get square with Reggie. In a moment of weakness having had let it’s monstrous instincts get the better of it, Boxy bites the big one and meets the Mortimer. How will conniving box get out this time?

Mortimer stands true to being god of death AND commerce. Boxy now knows how much a bribe for it’s soul will cost. Some interesting lore dump by, the author, Neven Iliev. Hero’s require special attention from Mortimer so that the spark of divine power in them doesn’t go rogue after hero’s death. Boxy is surprisingly fluent in the word, the language of the divine. Wielding the word could make things… complicated in the afterlife.

What is the soul-muncher incident mentioned in the brief conversation between the Mortimer and the muffin man, and what are the precautions for the repeat of soul-muncher incident? The muffin man’s 7 deadly sins project empty slots (as of book #6): Sloth; Envy and Greed. Boxy has contracted 3 demons. Jhin are the epitome of sloth. Having read ahead, Arms would suit Greed, leaving Claws with Envy. Another project of muffin man is making mimics into a new type of demon from the beyond.

Conclusion: 4/5. Listened on Audible 1 credit. Narrated by: Jeff Hays, Annie Ellicott, Justin Thomas James, Will Watt. Thus far the characters in the story who dabble in the taboo don’t live long. Director Malone, wish we got more of him. Knowing the story is finished, yet, audiobooks are in the works, gives me an itch. At this point, can’t predict how the author, Neven Iliev, concludes the series. Terrible value for the length of the book – 2.03 $/hour ( 24.95 $ / 12 hrs 18 mins ).
