I’ll keep this simple. I’m on my 3rd reread and realized I never left a review.
As far as litRPG goes, this series is sort of the flagship. It practically defines the genre.
As far as sci-fi action comedy, DCC goes above and beyond the call.
As an audiobook production, the performance is absolutely stellar. Jeff Hayes is incredibly talented and has an enormous range. I thought he used voice modulation for the female voices, but no, he’s just that good. Mind-boggling.
You should have an idea of if you’d like it by the end of the first book, but the series as a whole evolves so quickly and consistently, it’s hard to say any one book is representative of the whole. If you’re on the fence, take the plunge.
