What a very cool concept for a story. A religious sect that binds themselves by oaths to protect the inhabiting people. Monsters that live beneath the earth. A priesthood that is immovable in its devotion.
I’m very impressed with this story. The prose was not overly flowery while still lovely. The plot was intriguing. The pacing was perfect. The romance was so stressful!
I’m going to be thinking about this one for a while.
I loved the combination of science fiction and fantasy. I would easily recommend this for fans of The Name of the Wind, Dune, Firefly, and the Cosmere.
The audio narrator is fantastic! He does a variety of voices and accents for quite the variety of characters.
