I really enjoyed Across Dark Seas! It was a quick, easy-to-follow read, and the pacing kept me turning pages. As a new reader to the series, I didn’t anticipate one of the plot twists, which made the story even more engaging. I do wish there had been more world-building and immersive detail—the glimpses we got were intriguing but left me wanting more (lets go series!). That said, the main character’s development felt realistic and fitting for her age, which made her journey relatable. Overall, it was an enjoyable start for me in this series, and I’m looking forward to seeing where the story goes next! Onto, “Beneath Black Sails!”
