Pretty wild ride. The part that kept tripping me up was how often the author insists no one can possibly know what a super-intelligent AI would want… while confidently predicting it’ll definitely want us dead. That contradiction is hard to ignore.
Entertaining? Sure. Convincing? Not really.
Could a super AI destroy humanity? I’m sure that’s one possible scenario, but not inevitable. What does feel inevitable is that one will eventually be built, regardless of our involvement.
