This year, I was on the hunt for a book that would actually make me laugh. After a few failed attempts, I noticed two of my coworkers reading the same novel and decided I’d give it a shot once one of them finished. From the very first chapter, I was laughing out loud.
What surprised me most, though, was how much more it offered. Beyond the humor, the story took some dark, unexpected turns that left me with an ominous feeling. There were moments that were genuinely heartbreaking, and others packed with intense action. It made me feel everything.
Hands down, it’s the best book I’ve ever read. I’m not an avid reader, but I know great writing when I see it—and this is one hell of a good book.
