I really enjoy the story overall. My biggest complaint is how much the author spends time in the protagonist head. There are multiple times the author could’ve told you what the protagonist was thinking and moved on in a single sentence yet he spends five minutes discussing it. It’s also very repetitive with some of the same things especially with his children growing up in this harsh New World. That’s my only complaint and the only thing about the book that honestly is starting to drive me crazy as I’m now seven books in.
