The story is pretty good. The characters could use more development and personality but they are likeable. The author tends to get quite repetitive and I have found myself getting frustrated with hearing the same thing over and over and over. However, the series has several books associated with it and they are all included with my membership and that counts for a lot IMO. The author does tend to get hung up on firearm details and like some other reviewers I feel like I have a better idea of what weapons they are carrying than what the characters look like. The books are predictable but I don’t think that takes away from the story.

A couple of very positive notes are there is no foul language, at least not that I have picked up on, and the violence is not laid out in gruesome detail.
