The story is fairly entertaining, and the narration is awesome. When it comes to firearms, the author makes several statements that break immersion from the story, which is disappointing. For example, one bad guy buys a bunch of suppressors at gun shows to get around the waiting period. This comes across like a misinformed CNN talking point. Even at gun shows, you need to complete a federal background check to buy a suppressor and there is still a lengthy waiting period, sometimes months, while that paperwork is completed. Nobody is buying a suppressor and leaving with it the same day. The author also talks about someone buying a completely brand-new arsenal for around 12K. This is just silly. The number of guns the author lists would cost FAR more, probably closer to 35K and ALL would require federal background checks. Someone buying dozens of firearms at once would absolutely end up on the ATF’s radar. The author also LOVES to write petite females beating up scores of grown military men. Pretty silly. Seriously. If you can make it through the inaccuracies and silliness, the story is not too bad.
