The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook by Matt Dinniman is the third book in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. This was a fun read even though it was a bit confusing. I was not a fan of the train system for this level. It was overly complicated and got convoluted at times. It wasn’t enough to take me out of the story though.
The story picks up right where we left off in book two, Carl’s Doomsday Device. And just like book two the action hooks you in right from the start. The world building continues to expand and be creative and detailed. The stakes are even higher than ever; And there was a death that shocked me. The emotional toll also continues to go up with each book.
Princess Donut continues to be my favorite character. But I love the found family Carl and Donut are collecting.
The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook was a fantastic read and I can’t wait to continue on with the series. I give this book 4 stars.
