First of all let me say that this audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of Audiobook Blast several weeks ago, and I forgot to leave a review, for which I feel terrible. But now that I am catching up on my reviews, let me just say that it is a fun story for that period. It’s only flaw is the narrator, who – while an accomplished reader-aloud – has a nasal tone that brings to mind the most supercilious and least likable of characters of that period of literature, and brings no enhancement to the story itself. Too bad, the story deserved better.
