This is a zombie series. And, like all such series, it becomes a cycle of meet, like, die for everyone except the MCs. It gets tiresome to find interesting, likeable characters only for them to die upon meeting group after group who are the dregs of humanity.
At the same time, this gave great value, good humor, and (compared to many series) didn’t drench itself in horror, gore, or gratuitous evil. For the value, I forgave the cycle, grabbed the popcorn, and enjoyed.
