The story kept me on the edge of my seat. Even at points where I thought the author might be heading for a cliche, she skirted the edge without leaning in. If you get frustrated with main characters who make the dumbest damsel in distress choices and are looking for something more, then this book is an excellent choice. The performances were also good.
