First I will say that the book is likely predictive programming, with the idea being that AI is running the show with the help of evil corporations and tyrannical rule. The concept overall is very dystopian.
Having said that it is a wonderful book full of adventure, humor, sadness, meaning of life, and life and death considerations. It touches on themes of how to keep your humanity in an inhumane situation.
