This is a great collection of stories from the grunts eye view of WWII. It encompasses almost all theaters of the war and from the four branches of the service. It is also the story of the author’s dealing with his own service as well as discovery of family history. It is an excellent read and a tribute to the quickly diminishing voices of the WWII veteran community.
