Exceptional narration quality for a story that deserves it.

I have been listening to people read books since I was very young. My mother and father were the first. I have always paid close attention when people are reading out loud, and I am rather picky about emphasis and intonation. Jeff Hays has done a phenomenal job bringing this story to life and Audible is fortunate to have this recording available on the platform.

A friend and I describe this reading as being like a movie for your ears. It is that good. Give it a listen yourself. You will not regret it.
