This story is predictably unpredictable. There are all kinds of complications that arise during Faction Wars, which are awesome BTW, with solutions that get ruined in “I didn’t see that coming!” sorts of ways. Also, new secrets and subplots are revealed, providing ample teasers for suture books. Overall, this book was everything I was hoping for.
Jeff Hays is at the top of his game. It is great to see him finally receiving the recognition he deserves. He has been a top notch narrator for years, and now everyone is seeing his talent.
