This series was non-stop fun. I’d highly recommend reading the first series first. I’ve seen the reviews for this series below 5 stars all day they started with this series so from their point of view it would not make sense what is going on in the 3rd and 4th book of this series
However I have to agree with other reviewers the ending felt rushed. While overall this is one of my favorite series I’ve read in a long time and I fully plan on rereading it. Really the only issue I had was leading up to the giant “cleaning up loose ends” chapter. By that point I was disgusted with all the backstabbing, double crossing, questionable morals by all the countries, worlds, and characters and found I couldn’t really be a fan of any of them. They all felt dirty. While the resolution of the series was acceptable and good for what it was, I kind of feel like it was just the lesser evil that won out
