Audio. First in series (Wings ‘N’ Wands), can be read as a standalone but might be more fun if read after the Scales ‘N’ Spells series. Paranormal. Hurt/comfort. Fated mates. Dual POV.

Samuel is an archaeologist fixated on finding a lost mage clan that could help restore his broken core. He certainly doesn’t expect to find a clan of dragons in Brazil, and for one of them to be annoying and his mate.

When Samuel first meets Dimitri, he is annoyed and frustrated by the dragon, but Dimitri continuously shows kindness and protectiveness towards Samuel which is sweet. I enjoyed Samuel’s determination and understood his past hurts, and adored whenever Dimitri would tell Samual all the things he appreciated about the broken mage. The narration by Joel Leslie was good, and although I can’t speak to whether the accents were on point, I enjoyed the different aspects it brought to the characters.
