I really enjoyed the concept of the book. What would you do if your death was predicted within days. Would you allow the monster we hide to come out? The story really makes you ponder this and the situations of each person that got the notice. So great food for thought! However I was definitely left wonder which way the author was leading us on political issues. I feel it’s obvious they are against guns, but maybe I’m reading it wrong and their just wanting more safety? The main couple is very likable and fun.
The narrator is not a good fit for the story. I feel it was read to me like an old fashioned narrator. Very direst and to the point, no fluctuation in his telling of the story and no distinct characters. I think this drug the story down.
