I’m glad to see the main character developing at a steady pace that’s not too slow or fast. It seems just right. Too many writers are afraid to tike skip and that causes them to write half a book about mundane over detailed leveling of a character or they have the character gain abilities super fast with convenient power ups that continue to happen over and over for them so as to shorten the rise to power. This writers isn’t afraid to set up the main characters current goal, to show him brainstorming and setting up the conditions to reach the goal and a bit of the start of that path, then time skipping to weeks or months or even years later to when they are just days or hours away from achieving the goal. It keeps pacing fresh and the story interesting with the progression being so well presented. I’m also glad the main character seems to make normal decisions that anyone would make in their shoes. Ive been wronged but I didn’t turn into a cringe lord who shuns society and lost my humanity. Rather. im a human being that was raised with morals and ethics who was wronged and will now use my gifts to bring about a just world where everyone is welcomed in society from a store merchant to a necromancer and everything in-between. When faced with any situation they let their humanity lead the way without the cringe lord showing its ugly head.
