I felt pulled away and distracted because of all the first person narratives. Lots of inner thoughts exchanged with the reader that oftentimes times felt boring. However I enjoyed many of the situations, actions, and discoveries while the teams explored planets. I thought a few were intriguing and could tell the author used his creative juices much more in those, example timeloop.
