Normally I really like Spaldings quirky protagonists and silly adventures. I felt the protagonist with this book really didn’t seem to struggle with the challenge of “logging off” except for getting lost without a GPS. He called himself an addict, but then forgot to show any ongoing struggles with the addiction throughout the store. It came off as “Oh yeah, I should throw a line in hear about how he’s struggling” instead of FEELING like an ongoing struggle. Also there was this weird meta thing where all the characters from his other books made a cameo? Probably won’t re-read this one.
