Performance:
Anthony could read the dictionary & I’d love it. No complaints & honestly that was the highlight of this book. Whoever read the part of Blair was horrible. She over pronounced syllables & it sounded like a bad commercial. Whenever her parts came up it was a painful listen.

The Plot:
The potential was there but it felt like we went in circles & the main characters’ goals were not clear enough to make me even slightly interested in her getting out of Carion’s castle no matter how sensless the plans were. Also, there didn’t feel like the book had a payoff at the end. The audience already inferred they were bonded so seeing that presented as part of the reveal was anticlimactic. Overall, I’d say hold off on reading the series until it’s done then decide. The abrupt ending was annoying & the book didn’t hold up enough weight for me to be excited about book 2.
