As fun as this concept is, the writing/plot needs work. There are a lot of perfectly timed coincidences; and while every book needs a couple of coincidences the sheer qty of them in this book is too much to make it feel like a realistic world. There is so much foreshadowing it is hard to be surprised by anything. The main character is painted as a edgelord with a modern day moral compass, while his circumstances have changed over the book, the character himself does not.
