I enjoy the world, the magic and powers, the people and the happy endings.
Though I love relaxing into the book and picturing the characters, I’m frustrated by how completely selfish the men are when it comes to the women they want to claim. I have enough misogyny that I deal with in real life, I don’t want to read about it in a completely different world. The fact that all of the males treat the earth women like delicate, fragile children instead of an equal to the males is infuriating. The other point of frustration for me is how completely selfish every single one of the males are. No ability to express compassion or empathy that these males ripped them out of their lives and assume the women would just get over it. I don’t care HOW MUCH attraction I may feel towards another person- if someone tore me away from my life in the way these dragons did to the FMC’s I’d find them repulsive. it’s a good thing I don’t have to pay for these books.
