The story is quite good and entertaining, though way too grindy. wish there was less grind and more story. characters were a little simple, but fun. I didn’t like the narrator at first, but they really grew on me, and are perfect for the character. I just really wish there was more plot. More people with different ideas and agendas and arcs. We occasionally get the rare human soldiers chapters, but they don’t really go anywhere in 3 books, serving more as a motivator for a badguy we only get to know a little at the very end. If the story had been more condenced and focused, I’d have loved it. But it did work very nice as something to play in the background while I did chores and hobies.
