Matt Dinniman is excellent and weaving a complex tale through funny moments and lots of action. When Carl is thinking and it’s basically exposition, it lasts just the right amount of time. Other exposition is super-fun bc it’s the AI explaining items with lots of attitude. The voice actor that does him is great and he seems to be having a great time. All the voice actors are awesome. And through all the books Matt hints at deeper emotions, dark histories. They get brought out at the right times. Difficult emotions are portrayed with respect and a deft hand. He is entertaining like a cartoon: all the flash to entertain the whole room and deeper messages that satisfy the adults in the room.
