I’m becoming quite a fan of Seraphina Nova Glass. Every book I’ve read by her this far has been great, and this one was no different. Her writing style makes me want to read more, and the storyline in her books captivates from beginning to end.
Shelby is lucky to have survived being forced and locked into a walk-in freezer, but her survival almost makes her wish she hadn’t once the letter arrives, then incident after incident while the local police and citizens stay to believe she’s making it all up. Thankfully, the residents she houses at the senior living home believe her, and they’re just as hopeful as Shelby is to find out who’s threatening her and her family.
Mack’s husband is missing with no clue as to where he’s gone off to. He has a bit of a gambling problem and may have bitten off more than he can chew. He’s been believed to be dead, but after Mack stumbles upons documents revealing secret accounts, one of which is active, and the latest phone bill showing his missing phone has been active for almost two weeks, she’s ready to track him down.
Nothing ever happens in Minnesota until it does, and it was enjoyable to read all about it.
